Position Overview:
As a Volunteer Transporter with GAHS, you will support our mission by transporting people and their animals to and from veterinary appointments. This critical service ensures that pet owners who do not have their own transportation have access to essential veterinary care, contributing to the well-being of the animals and their human companions. If you have a passion for helping others and a commitment to animal well-being, we invite you to join our team as a Volunteer Transporter.
Responsibilities:
- Transportation Assistance:
- Provide reliable and safe transportation to veterinary appointments for pet guardians and their animals or animals in GAHS care.
- Ensure a comfortable and stress-free experience during transportation.
- Appointment Coordination:
- Coordinate with the pet’s guardian or foster to schedule transportation for veterinary appointments.
- Confirm with the pet’s guardian appointment details, including date, time, and location.
- Communication:
- Maintain clear and open communication with pet guardians or foster, ensuring timely arrival and departure for appointments.
- Report any concerns or changes in schedule to the Volunteer Coordinator.
