Position Overview:

As a Grant Writing Volunteer with GAHS, you will be crucial in securing essential funding for our organization. Your expertise in grant writing and a keen eye for funding opportunities will contribute to the sustainability and growth of our programs. If you have a passion for animal well-being, excellent writing skills, and a commitment to securing resources for our cause, we invite you to join our team of dedicated grant-writing volunteers.

Responsibilities:

  • Grant Application Assistance:
    • Collaborate with the Grant Writing Coordinator to assist in preparing and submitting grant applications.
    • Research and gather information required for grant proposals.
  • Funding Opportunity Research:
    • Stay informed about potential funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other relevant sources.
    • Regularly update the organization on new and applicable grant opportunities.
  • Proposal Development:
    • Contribute to developing compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and mission.
    • Work closely with program coordinators to gather relevant data and information.
  • Grant Reporting:
    • Assist in preparing grant reports, ensuring accurate and timely submission to funding agencies.
  • Communication:
    • Maintain clear and open communication with the Grant Writing Coordinator and other team members.
    • Report any challenges or changes in the grant application process promptly.

Qualifications:
