Our central mission is to promote compassionate care for abandoned, surrendered, injured, or neglected companion animals, providing the essential human assistance they require. Position Overview:

As a Fundraising Volunteer with GAHS, you will play a key role in supporting our mission by participating in or spearheading fundraising initiatives. Your creativity and dedication will contribute to the financial well-being of our organization, ensuring that we can continue to positively impact the lives of animals in need. If you have a passion for fundraising, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to our cause, we invite you to join our team of fundraising volunteers.

Responsibilities:

  • Participation in Fundraising Events:
    • Actively participate in fundraising events organized by the organization, such as community events, auctions, or online campaigns.
  • Initiate Fundraising Ideas:
    • In conjunction with the board, develop a fundraising plan for the year
    • Lead new and creative fundraising initiatives to generate financial support for the organization
    • Collaborate with the Fundraising Coordinator to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Engage with the community to promote fundraising events and initiatives.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with donors, sponsors, and supporters.
  • Event Planning and Execution:
    • Assist in the planning and executing of fundraising events, including logistics, promotion, and coordination of volunteers.
  • Donor Acknowledgment:
    • Ensure timely and heartfelt acknowledgment of donors, including personalized thank-you notes and updates on fundraising milestones.
