UPDATE: Gene and Merlot went home with two different families but will live on the same block and be cousins! We are so happy for them and grateful to their forever families.

Hello,
I hope this email finds you well. I am just wanting to give an update for two newly adopted brother kittens Norman and Ermine (formerly known as Gene and Merlot) from the Gwaii Animal Helpline society. While they were not adopted together into the same home we are happy to report that they are both settled into their new homes and are very close neighbours. Adopted just over a month ago, Ermine (orange and white) currently has 2 big brothers, Marten and Fisher and a sassy momma cat, Mink. While Norman (black and white) has a big chunky brother, Leonidas and 2 sisters, Cleopatra and Theodora. Both boys love having the older cats in their homes and their siblings are slowly starting to get used to having them around.
Norman and Ermine visit and play with each other at least once a day and have ventured into the great outdoors together (aka their front lawn) with supervision. Despite being fed very well, they are both respectively known as the “kings of scrounging” in their homes as they wait diligently and unwaveringly in the kitchen for scraps to fall at every given opportunity. They enjoy sleeping in bed with their families, chasing every bug in sight, and climbing great heights in their cat trees. Ermine has found immense happiness in rolling himself in his owners yarn and crochet blankets. While feisty and hissing at first Ermine has grown into the most overly affectionate and appreciative cat ever. They both love trying to get the attention of the older bigger cats as well as attempting to sneak outside. Norman is a kind hearted and gentle boy who has the loudest purs and kneads everything in sight. They are both well loved, well fed, and well taken care of in each of their households.
We just wanted to extend our thanks and gratitude for the opportunity to adopt them. Haawa, haawa, haawa.

These two active and curious fellows, Gene – ADOPTED (black and white) and Merlot – ADOPTED (orange and white) are looking for their forever homes. They are about 9 weeks old, are litter trained, and had their vet check up and 1st vaccinations July 27.
